For many years in February, the Sutton Area Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the Sutton Area Showcase. The showcase features vendors and crafters who either live within or serve the Sutt
on area. The Sutton Volunteer Fire Department offers a free will offering pancake feed serving up fresh pancakes and sausages. This year’s Sutton Showcase will be held on February 11th from 8 am- 3pm.
This event occurring the last weekend in June is a fun-filled weekend of activities for all ages taking its name from the dugout that the town founder created to keep his family safe from Indian attacks. From the chicken barbecue, to the bike rodeo, the parade to the carnival, you will find a weekend full of activities and fun for the whole family. Events from years past include activities such as a dodgeball tournament, the show and shine car show, bounce houses for kids, a bike rodeo, bingo, karaoke, a parade, a chicken barbecue, and the annual carnival.
The Parade of Lights is held the first Monday in December and is a chance, not only for the businesses in town to show their appreciation to their customers. This even also gives anyone with a little glowing creativity the chance to show their skills decorating a vehicle or a float with lights for a parade down a darkened Saunders Ave. After the parade, kids are invited to meet Santa at the Sutton Community Senior Center.
